Dixit hits out at media for 'false reports' of show-cause

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) secretary Sanjay Dixit has hit out at the malicious reports that BCCI has served him a show-cause notice in connection with the tweets relating to Sachin Tendulkar.

The senior administrator said there is absolutely no truth in the rumours about BCCI serving a show-cause notice.
"Some people are trying to make a mountain out a mole hill. I have still not received any such letter and I don't know why it would have taken so long to reach us. The fact is that few people are trying to take advantage but we have served legal notice to few channels," said Dixit.
"The Mumbai Indians had themselves denied that there was any formal complaint regarding the pitch on which they were restricted to 94 for eight and the Royals went on to win the match, reaching the target losing only two wickets.
"The rules say that if there is any complaint it needs to be lodged within 24 hours of the match. Now making a fuss over it seems to be meaningless exercise," Dixit said.
RCA has served legal notice demanding apology from a premier news channel along with cricket portal that is run by that particular organisation.
The lawyer of the RCA, Ravi Bhojak, has written to the particular channel, "That my client has reasons to believe that you have flashed this story fully knowing that there is no truth in it and this act is mischievous, defamatory, and with oblique motives to harm my client's reputation.
The notice further states, "Please note that I have standing instructions to take legal action, civil as well as criminal, against both of you personally and you shall be liable for the cost and consequences."
The whole controversy had started after the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at Jaipur where the visitors had crashed to a shocking eight-wicket defeat and Sachin had criticised the pitch terming it two-paced and low.
RCA secretary Sanjay Dixit had then tweeted that "Sachin gets out off a full toss. Can't blame the pitch this time," after Tendulkar was dismissed for 51 against Punjab.
