ndia fast bowler S Sreesanth regretted losing his cool on Sunday after the Kochi Tuskers management dropped him against hosts Bangalore Royal Challengers. However, the player felt his brief remonstration over the decision had been blown out of proportion, again showing him in poor light.

“Why do you have to write such negative stories about me,” pleaded Sreesanth, whose boorish behaviour has earned him unwanted headlines, overshadowing his talent. “I only threw a bottle in frustration, it wasn't aimed at anybody. I was angry for about 15 seconds and then I cooled down.”
He denied he fought with coach Geoff Lawson or walked out in anger. “There was no tiff. We were discussing a technique on how to make my left arm more potent.” Was he disappointed? “I live in Bangalore. It's like a second home for me. I know what all obstacles I've overcome being from Kerala, to make it to the national team. Representing Kochi is the greatest honour for me. I was shattered when I was told that I wasn't playing. Who wouldn’t be angry after that?” Unfortunately, controversies stick to the 28-year-old like flies to flypaper.
When on song, Sreesanth can be unplayable as some of his performances in Test wins, particularly overseas, testify. “All the controversies around me are over-hyped. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm still young. I have my career ahead of me.”
